Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your support on Small business Saturday.. So awesome to hear from some of you far back as 2004 are coming back. The comments are spirit food for my soul. Title: Now we are UP NORTH
Hey Peeps, we are all moved and pouring and crafting up a storm here in the COUNTY the folks call it in these parts. A newlywed I am , I have a new home and sweety. He is a blessing. Our new home has complete work shop area in basement and any day now our brand new cabin retail shop will be delivered . The Amish famiies are building it and cant wait for it to be placed in front of our home. We are also hoping to have some additional cabins for lodging next spring into fall made.

For now its candle ,jams, jellies and signs signs signs. WE are trying to get products up to the Flower Barn in Jay maine where we will carry refills and orders for our locals from our Livermore location. If you need an item delivered to that store, order on line and click Customer pick up . and put in notes for the flower barn location. I plan to go there monthly and bi weekly peek season .

We have moved from GODing Road in Livermore maine.. 190 miles NORTH to Sherman Maine. A retail location is being buildt right now by the AMISH and re opening of our retail shop at its new UP NOrth Home is planned for mid October. For our central maine customers . End of August we will have products at the FLOWER BARN IN JAY . and please e mail us with any special requests we will be delievering monthly to Jay Maine. You can either order on line and select store pick up.. on your shopping cart.. or send me an e mail for me to bring to the flower barn and have it ready for you. God continues to over and beyond bless this business. Opening more doors and hearts to his glory and GRACE.. This new location brings a brand new home. A huge work area to produce and manufacture, Fresh mountain air to inspire every ounce of spirit. The fruits of this area has just sent me into another realm of creativity.. I am working with local graphic artist and she has made me some stencils .. that we will be launching our new line of unique shingle letters... very soon. The New kitchen here has all the license and requests in , waiting for the inspector to come inspect the kitchen for our new DIP mixes to be launched and foods,, maple candy, jams and much more.. I might say.. hehe We have some spectacular new food products, in the labor testing and soon to be production, OUr new scent to be released is one that we took the majority on , the most requested for this year was a fresh scent, ocean,clean, linen so we are doing just that, release date not sure yet, testing is not complete on yet.. but we looking for some name feedback some mainey fresh oceany names .. for this clean watery unique fragrance, it has notes of lemon,jasmine and a coolwater misty , have to smell it two or three times to get the undernotes. its very unique. give me some names Atlanic Mist? coastal kisses Maine Mist, not too cute. but .. ok HELP? fresh without sounding like generic fabric softner, you guys wanted it , help me out here. Make it yours?
Peppermint I did make a wee bit of I have votives and couple jars. e mail me we will be having a complete line of explanation to the therapuetic benefits of each of our true fragrances. Much Research of the health benefits of aromas of peppermint,lavender, cinnamon,balsam amazing how smart the studies say it actually lifts depression Imagine that.. ??? who knew?? combined with the glow the light, creating an escape of senses. Folks will ask me wich ones are aroma therapy? I say all of them honestly I have some folks that only buy hot apple pie and it makes them feel cozy and warm and most men comment on that as well. So I knw there is not a study shown that synthetic apple pie heals the soul I dont need one, I have 20 years of candle making to show that those big smiles that come back and back again and the mms and awes.. thats enough study for me too know. NOt to mention the emails I actually recently recieved one that said I dont know what you put in those candles but keep doing it cause they are like not other I've ever had, over and over again. Years will go buy and I come to get another one from you and its the best as the first one I got. Now isnt that the best Christmas is when you get what you expect and a little more? HOly Wow ! U aint seen nothingYET Peeps! God has sent me some MORe helpers that he has gifted and shared with us !! Woo HOO! Scotty is in the wood shed and we are making some amazing creations. This year is going to be like no other on Candle Mt. MOm is arriving this week from alabama to help. we have a full crew in full gear already from the kitchen to the wood shed. WE are preparing everything from marmalade to maple syrup candles to window box mantels.. YUP.. If you thought the toilet paper was cool last year, you Aint seen NOTHING YET! We are also getting new roof , so please excuse the mess while we repair renew all before the big events. parking has been changed due to nails in tire.. We want none .. for any of us or U. Title: Compost, Candles, shoe Garden
Sorry its been a while here, so much has happened. First I thank God for allowing me to be mobile in this body, for the MRI and cat scans say otherwise.. I give the glory and Grace to the almighty, THANK U! Poison Ivy u say?? well I thought I wasnt allergic to it, seems here on candle mountain that stuff is on steriods..
but I still do not break out as bad as hubby, he blisters and his head gets the size of a football, We started composting this year, wow we are learnign so much . I have gone from the candle lady to the worm lady overnight he hee. We have been blessed with 2 acres here on candle mountain and there are much berry patches that need attention and Flowers oh we love them too, We have been preparing for the 3rd annual open house and tour and have planted hundreds of sunflowers but we cant seem to keep the chipmunks from eating the seeds, or sprouts,, That stray kitty has caught a few, and we have trimmed the hidding areas but there are hundreds here, I have put hot pepper, cinnamon and all things u can imagine the only thing happening is they are sneezing, and have heartburn.. HELP! free chipmunks.. WE have made many many new items from garden and home decor, to wedding signs, we have been flooded with unique ideas .. and I will get them up on the tricks page as soon as I can to share but for now,, for the old red white and blue, Take some canning jars or jars with lids, fill them with colored water, line them up they are gorgeous, i did a clear one for the white, and filled a red one and blue one and so on. they are just soo beautiful and simple.. affordable and unique, I recommend jars with lids, as they tip and evaporate.. I recently saw a commercial of a guy that had posted , post it notes all over the house of reasons why he loves his wife, WOW HOly wow! that took some work.. Didnt cost much but it took some time and thought.. thats pretty awesome. I am grateful girl for the Love that is shown to me as I just had another pain procedure, I really was taken back at all the calls notes and prayers. I appreciate everyone understanding the odd hours here and there . But I also appreciate you calling odd hours to shop by appt. And telephoning us with questions about our candles and signs. I recently had a lady call from texas, stating that she saw our candle in country sampler and thought there must of been an error because it was over 100.oo dollars , what kind of candle costs over one hundred dollars? (with shipping) and I'm happy to explain, and when you see it in person you can get a visual.. It weighs with glass over 17 pounds, It has 3 custom wicks to the scent thats poured in it, It burns about 6-8 months, that is equal to 12 jar candles, now if you purchased 12 jar candles at 16.99 each and thats a med. price for a quality candle, actually yankees are 14. ounces andnot 16 but anyway 16.99 times 12 thats how much wax you would get, only alllllllllllll our wax burns, not just the center. taht equals 203.88 before tax or shipping or any of that, plus you would always have a candle to light and enjoy its a HUGe center peice, conversation peice and it also gives off much more scent then 1 16 oounce candle its actual scent release is equal to 3 , 16 ounce jars burning at once. So like we buy our laundry soap in bulk, our toilet paper in bulk you save, ITs lower costs becuase we dont have extra labor to label and clean the 12 jars , theres only one big one, thats also reuseable container, the quality made in usa jar we can refill for you if you live locally or you can use for the best cookie or flour, sugar jar. I know these are on the mothers day, and christmas lists, but not only does this make a nice scent, light, its therapy It proven to comfort ! It really lifts the spirits of all ages.
LIke our Loaf pan candles, over ten years we have been listening to our customers, continually ask for re usable containers, all the was to burn, consistant scent throw, scents year round, blueberry in december and maine woods in march. apple pie in july, The loaf pan candle was designed to give off huge scent, because of its large scent melting pool, as well as burn even, and be green by reusing the container, with little waste in any materials. We continue to listen to each of you . we really try our hardest to please each person. Coming soon will be Maine Mini Melts, these are much like the fund raising scentsy containers , and we also will offer the electric plug in tart warmers, I do not like anything over 14 watt is too hot, creates too much scent loss, it boils the wax , and breaks down the fragrance too quickly. Title: Happy Birthday Jesus! Vip sale event was the best evvahh!
Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus! Wow so much has happened this year and things are moving along so quickly.. how did we get from dec 1 to the 15 in a few hours it seems. I'm not quite ready, HOw did this happen?? the older I get the faster that clock goes.. I do know that I am here because of YOU andI couldnt be more thankful. I dont know what our future holds but I do know who holds are future and if these last few months are any sign of what is to come.. then Our trademark song is right on target.. YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET! I am inspired by you to use the gifts that HE has given for me, yes HE gets all the glory all the time as there is not other explanation how I can see things on screens and toilet paper.. Visions of snowman and sugarplums are really happening around here.
We are soo excited for the new year, we have sooo many new product ideas in store, as we continue to LISTEN TO our customers.. they tell us what they would like to see and have and we do our best to make it happen. and as you keep reassuring us that you appreciate the hand made and 99 percent usa and hand made, NOT MADE IN CHINA items. we will continue to seek out materials that are just that.. We have so enjoyed all the reactions to the signs, the words.. and as we continue to paint them for you.. NO its still not too late.. we hand paint so we do not have to wait for computers to make us anything we simply take your words and transfer them with a paint brush,no stencils to make or cut out..
WE are blessed by so much love from the community.. ON line and in town. We appreciate your honks as you go by , your e mails of well wishes. your prayers, your kind words to others.. Your stories you share with us, why some of your signs are soo important as they mark events or share new names, start a new business or re kindle an old, new babies that are born, homes restored, even marriages.. it just reminds me of the true meaning of the season... Hey PEEPS, As you can see we are working hard on the website, adding new features and products constantly. I am truly inspired by you all, You bring the challenges that allow me to rise to the occasion, Many of you ask what are you gonna come up with next?? I say the same thing but this ones got the press taking notes, My friends and neighbors always bringing me an item now what can you make out of this or people calling I just found this or that what could I do with it, and as I have no doubt that these visions I have come directly from above, and always give him the Glory for them, This toilet paper is a genuine HOOT. My favorite word, my kids tease me but.. A hoot gets me going! HOoked up and HOOTS, hehe I will get the photo up soon, I have a roll of toilet paper, dipped and decorated, and if any of you KNOW ME, I do like usefull gifts, so YEs you can use it, it lights your way, It takes batteries so you can greet your guest with a warm glow, watch for it coming soon.
Thank you all for the LOVE at the Craft show, I often have eyes full of tears from your support, YOu have NO idea how much your support means, It feeds my soul! Seeing many of you just once a year and to think you come all the way just to see what we have come up with, It just warms my heart to no end, YOu see I directly take that Love and put it right back into the business. Title: The best open house ever!
Wow what a month! we are sold out of many many sizes and kinds of candles, from all your word of mouth to others from our regulars to our brand new customers I can just feel the love everywhere! We opened our home for our 3rd annual open house and even though the unpredictible weather of maine had a lot of rain to share with us it did NOt dampen our fun. We had a blast, in fact next year we need to make 2 and 3 days as the feedback was many couldnt even get anywheres near our road to come the traffic was so heavy.. Wow is God good or what..? I have received phone and e mail message of the fun time had by all, and one lady said she could FEEL the Love and the POSITIVE ENERGY wow that is just priceless on such a could be stressful day because of weather and parking etc etc. it was the most beautiful day of the year. we shared food fun and ideas many got there photos taken . I am preparing a slide show of the day, we had most of the day photographed and will be sharing with you all, some didnt want there photos to be on the web site so we are taking those out before we upload.
WE also have a brand new category coming food recipes as many of you know candle making is much like cooking its chemistry and the love that you put into it.. well we have some nice recipes to share with you for the holidays we are working on those too. As well as new homespun loyalty card holders, candle rug mats all hand made by mom, she also has typed her directions up to share with you all how to make rag rugs crotcheting the fabric together , she even has a cut peice of fabric in the directions , she has those available for 5.oo each , e mail if you would like one, I am working on uploading it to the site and maybe a week or two before all those new items get up.
We have met many other primitive crafters from soap making to quilting to needlpointing photographs wow the gifts that God puts in our hearts are just poured out all over its so inspiring to share all our ideas . Thats why we give them to you on our tips tricks & blessings page, more to come and going to get in more organized so you can find certain things quicker.. WE also have some exciting new partners Therese from Law Mt. Wreaths & Jams will be a new warm face here to help tend and package and assist all. She has been heavenly sent to us. As mom has returned to Alabama yesterday. she is sadly missed already, she will be crafting and mailing us items her wonderful rag rug creations just floor me daily how she whips up pocket books baskets mats everything with no directions shes just gifted like that. Title: Back from the fair
Wow what an awesome fair week, We met tons of awesome people and painted a lot of signs, We are looking forward to them sending photos of the signs we painted for them to us so we can begin our photo gallery, If any of you are going to fryburg Fair in fryburg maine look for GRATEFUL ED, he sells wonderful haddock and ff, Tell him Allicca and the big guy sent you and he will hook you up with a nice portion! A gorgeous weather week we were blessed with . This week we totally re did the retail and check out space as well as getting organized for all the shipping area, You know this is the NOrth pole at times, Santas little elves ship a lot of candles and signs all around the world, and it seems the elves surely could use all the help they can to make things efficient and much more fun!
We are working on updating our site regularly with new recipes tricks and photos of our customers, We are having our annual open house in a few days and have a photographer coming for the event to capture some of the fun around here. so will have those photos to ad as well.

worshipradionetwork.org has awesome christain music that I always have playing in the shop and workshops, it feeds the soul with uplfiting be bopping positive words and music, check it out, its powerful. and soo fun.. and you may see me in passing with my mp 3 player , walking the dogs , singing my brains out, its so inspiring to hear postive stuff all day.. OH one more thing, Dempsey challenge is world wide, ( I went to school with patrick demspey how cool is that? ) anyway my daughter is running the 5 k if anyone would be on there heart to donate for the cure, she is running for a lady that is only 46 and she just lost her life to breast cancer last week, less then a couple weeks before the race.. this is so serious, we all can make a difference, you can mail a check made out to
the dempsey challenge, its nation wide, you must of seen it on t.v the race is october 4th lewiston maine.
mail it to 32 Goding road livermore maine 04253 any amount makes a difference it all adds up, i will post photos of her running, she has been runnng from her house 7 plus miles here each day to practice for it, and then I give her a ride home, she is only 22 and has it on her heart to try to make a difference, we all can. ok now i'm off to the workshop with my caramel coffee and praising music,

Title: September has begun, crisp spicy fall.. mmmmm
Hi Everyone, Wow I am feeling SOOOOOOOO much better this month, been a long year of illness and surgeries, but thats behind me now. Praise God. WE have been busy busy here on candle mountain, from custom signs to grunging candle pans its peak season.. We have some unique new items in our retail shop, How about a PiLgrim Snowman.. my own design, We are stocking up for our first county fair and our 3rd annual open house.. I have enlisted much help so we can accomidate your custom signs right on the spot.. I have been truly blessed to see my signs everywhere from weddings to the blessings of a funeral.. a celebration of life, Reminding others of funny sayings they used to say . I am so blessed to be a part of all these celebrations, I couldnt do it without the help of family and friends and wonderful customers that inspire me daily.. When I quote a price for a custom sign people will often say what thats all or I"m paying more then that.
These signs didnt have to be shipped from china.. NOT MADE IN CHINA.. I am blessed by local contractors saving there scraps for us and customers a like, Thats the only way I can keep prices down. THis year we have had to go up on a few things as we have to make a seasonal payroll. But more than that, its the warmth , the laughs the ahhhhhhhhhh that is part of the pay.. Words are very very powerful.. I'm learning to watch my own, they can surely create joy or stir the beehive up.. Thanks for allowing us to be a part.. Remember our list of signs is not limited.. Sayings, wedding dates you name it.. Babies names, its endless.
